Everything I make begins as a philosophical inquiry which then, through my actions and intuitive process, “fleshes” itself out into a physical object. Before an idea becomes an object, it exists in the realm of the mind as untouchable, unattainable, even strangely sanctified; and the process of bringing such ideas into physical reality is almost a sacrilege unless every nuance is thoroughly considered. An open mind, intuitive acuity, and technical mastery throughout the entire artistic process are essential for the development of an artwork. It is as crucial to listen and look to the entire world as intensely as I turn inward in order to see what is right in front of me.
